Notice is hereby given of the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the Members of the STALBRIDGE HISTORY SOCIETY, which will be held on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH 2026 at 10.30 am in the Congregational Church Hall, Station Road, Stalbridge.
The meeting will be followed by a fascinating talk given by Mike Randall:
“TRANSPORTED FOR THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL LIFE!”
Learn about the sufferings of unfortunate and melancholy souls’ convicted at Dorchester assizes in the late 18C and 19C and what befell them and the families they left behind.
REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE.

There is now a VACANCY for the role of SECRETARY to the Society. There can be up to
nine Committee members, and there are two vacancies for which nominations are
invited from members (which must be with the nominee’s permission)
